Koei Tecmo Singapore Most Innovative Design

Even after game was moved into custom engine, game mechanics and levels were still further polished in UE4 before they are implemented into the custom engine.

ACHIEVEMENT AND QUEST SYSTEM

Designed achievement system, incorporating the implemented mechanics into fun side activities to pursue in the sandbox level.

In addition to that, the quest system was designed in a way that allowed players to play the game freely without being forced in any way.

Digipen Game Awards, 2019

Finalist, Acronis Best User Interface

Designed the UI in the game. In order to compensate for the lack of a dedicated artist and animator, the style used was minimalist during regular gameplay, and blocky and hard for menus and build mode.

Also designed UX, including feedback, sound, and cutscenes, from the sound of water to footsteps, even to islands crumbling to background audio.
